This story has all the elements of a wonderful wuxia/ fantasy series. From the breathtaking sceneries, impressive costumes, magical props, distinguished characters and the great storyline- they all proved that THE LAST IMMORTAL has been carefully crafted. I just don't understand why it was given this title. I thought at first the lead characters or at least one of them is the last known immortal but it was not the case at all. I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me with regards to this issue.

Anyhow, as mentioned earlier everyone in the cast all portrayed their respective characters so well especially the four central ones- the lead couple and the second lead couple. The female lead Zhao Lu Si as expected delivered a stunning performance. Her male counterpart, Wang An Yu, though not as popular yet, surprisingly is the type that grows on you. He may not be the kind of handsome that appeals to me but he sure looks like a divine being. The second lead couple, on the other hand, have a more commanding presence. They are both leaders of their tribe though so it's not surprising that at some scenes they can overshadow the main couple.

I think the most important lesson in this story though, is to never give up on your beloved. To believe that not even death can break you apart. In another existence life can go on and your love should also continue to thrive. The characters of this series can certainly afford that given they live thousands and millions of years but for mortals like us, I believe we can love as much for what matters most is how much we are willing to sacrifice for true love and how that love can make us a better person for the benefit of the greater good.

Another lesson is that of gratitude. Gratefulness for all beings who have been in the journey with us, for the valuable friendships and the support of our tribes. For indeed, it takes a community to raise a being so everyone is connected to all and we have to acknowledge that. We also have to be thankful for opportunities however insignificant they may seem. Gratitude opens our eyes to how lucky we really are and why in response, we should also bless the world with our presence.

There are so many lessons you can get from this story but I will leave them for you to find out. This is to say you really need to watch this series so you can also be well entertained like me. To all Chinese wuxia/ fantasy fans, this is a must see. Enjoy!
