I have checked out this series several times before finally deciding to watch. Honestly, my first impression was that a lot of things can go bad in the story. The main leads do not seem to have any chemistry, the male lead looks too handsome for the female lead, the concept is too far fetched and the supporting cast cannot carry the story farther.
My bad, but I left this series midway for almost a year before ultimately watching just so I could finish this and share with you some insights. The plot became more dragging to watch and I was looking forward to just finishing it and moving on to other series.
In fairness though, there are lessons we can glimpsed from the story. For one, you can actually have a family regardless if they're blood relatives or not. It's a matter of choice and decision. It's a call for love that encompasses. Likewise, you can choose to let go of toxic people, even if they're a connection by blood. You can continue to respect and love but not let them control your life or the path you would take.
Another lesson is to be aware of the people and other forms of blessings around you. Who knows you might be wishing for something that's actually already there and you are just not conscious of its existence in your life.
We can also be inspired here to follow our dreams, no matter how little confidence we have of ourselves. God is always confident in us and would sometimes use other people to let us know that. Our dreams are our guides to where we should be and how we can achieve our highest potential and thus, honor our creator.
Surprisingly towards the last few episodes, a good twist was shown. I will not be a spoiler this time so all I want to say is this MR. BAD can actually be good. It can open your eyes to the possibilities of life and to never judge a person's feelings based only on what your experience of him has been. Sometimes a book looks worn and uninteresting but it can actually save your life, simply put.
So all in all, this series is not too bad after all. Just try and you might find it more appealing than I had. Remember a series is just a story, until you put a label on it.
