LOVE YOU SEVEN TIMES

When I started watching this series, I was in the middle of two other Chinese shows that I can't seem to finish in my usual week-long marathon duration when watching a tv series. This one though I found hard to leave for even a single day.

Ryan or Ding Yuxi is in a league of his own. He is not the typical "too handsome to relate" kind of actor but his acting skills will certainly make one believe that he is born to portray such a role. I have seen him act in various roles and in different genres that I am totally convinced already that his acting prowess is pure genius.

The female lead, Yang Chaoyue, though not as popular as other Chinese actresses yet, is also a good one so far. She is cute but not annoyingly so and has the presence that makes one feel like in the presence of a commoner or a royalty, depending on the call of her character.

Together, these two stars, a stellar cast and a riveting story of love across lifetimes, make this series one for the books. The cinematography will not just titillate your imagination. You will be visually entertained like never before. It will open your eyes to endless possibilities and the malleability of time. It will transport you to realms of magic and fantasies, of what has been, what could be and what will be.

Even more important, LOVE YOU SEVEN TIMES will strengthen your faith in justice served, that there certainly is karma. That no matter how long it takes, truth will somehow prevail and good eventually wins. It will encourage you to never lose hope. It will make you believe in love and destiny.

It is disheartening though that truly, the most dangerous enemy could be the person we thought is our greatest ally. Figuratively speaking, it is not always true that blood is thicker than water. Love and loyalty is always a choice, no matter the relations nor the circumstances. And there are sacrifices, that no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, can turn the tide for another. Suffice it to say, let us always be mindful of our choices in life for what we choose to do every single day will not only impact our own but other lives as well.

Needless to say, I would highly recommend this series to all fantasy/ wuxia lovers out there. This truly is worth your time and attention. Enjoy!
