FANTASY MODERN DRAMA

So this story is a modern fantasy top billed by one of my favorites, no-fail to impress me actor Ding Yuxi. Opposite him as the female lead is Esther Yu, also famous in the industry but not among my favorites for reasons I should just keep to myself this time.

Anyway, their tandem is actually a good match with opposing characteristics that complement and they are heavily supported by the second couple portrayed by Yang Shi Ze and Zhu Xu Dan, both of whom are really good looking people. They also possess great chemistry that reminded me that they also acted as a couple in Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact, shown earlier this year of 2024.

All four of them and a very cute bamboo demon will entertain us no end. The courage and constancy of purpose their characters exhibited have shown us that life could be made more meaningful when we realize our particular missions.

The story itself though is not really new and unique. So it goes that our female lead somehow got transported into a love game online where she has to complete tasks assigned by the system so she could eventually get out and return to her reality. However, along the way, not only she got to enjoy the company of her long deceased father (in real life) but she also found great friends and the true love of her life within the world of that game. She eventually came to love that world and the people in it.

That's when she started trying to change the plot of the story and realizing it could actually be changed. However, towards the end she found out that the only person who could change the ultimate ending is the original author who turned out to be the main male lead. So sorry for this spoiler.

It is a good series  though in that it will remind you that what will make the world beautiful for us are the people in it. It is essential also to note that we can make our world better or worse by the choices we make and how we label them. We all make mistakes though but what we should focus on is how we can contribute to a better future.

I also realize through this story how different the history we know could be from the truth and so we should not bank on the past too much. We should just learn from the lessons and move on.
