FOX SPIRIT MATCHMAKER: RED-MOON PACT

The female lead here is "The" Yang Mi. I think if you are a true Chinese drama follower, you would certainly know her. Plus Gong Jun- the actor extraordinaire. This tandem is a dream come true for most Chinese drama fans. Added to the mix, although certainly not the usual love triangle, is Wei Zhe Ming, who is himself a lead in so many dramas already and yet he agreed to be a part of this, not the lead but certainly portraying one of the best and most prestigious characters. Also the supporting stars, among them Zhang Ling He and Yang Shi Ze, are truly feasts to the eyes. They might have short roles but important ones nevertheless.

What I like about this series regardless of the stars involved are not just the cinematography and the story but how it is possible for all races to cooperate and achieve a common goal of lasting peace and prosperity. It will give us hope that amidst the chaos and uncertainties in life, there are always those with pure hearts who are willing to sacrifice their all for the world that they love and the existence they believe in.

Now, prepare yourself to be immersed in a universe we can only dream of- beautiful, magical sceneries, majestic mountains, powerful creatures, and various races. The diversity only intensifies this world's beauty. However, just like in real life, there is always the good and bad side, light and darkness, yin and yang. In Tushan, foxes values friendships, loyalty, service to community and above all- love. All spirits (and humans towards the end) flock there to be blessed and forever united through their Grief Tree which gives feathered flowers to couples who truly love each other. What can touch the viewers' hearts is our main couple's consistent love and care towards each other. That no matter how difficult things may seem or how much they misunderstand each other sometimes, they never stop protecting each other. They are more than willing to sacrifice for the safety and happiness of the other.

When all the couples who are blessed by the Grief Tree finally reunited, you would realize that there will always be someone in this world who would be there for you and would love you, despite challenges, across dimensions. Time could not hinder true love and neither would space. True love brings happy endings and so the story will never end unless it's a happy one.
