I have just been talking to a friend about strong, independent women when I came across this series top-billed by Hans Zhang and Zhu Xu Dan (who played a major role in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy and a support role in the much acclaimed Eternal Love). This is really how things manifest. When you think of something naturally, it will come effortlessly.
So this is a story of a female military personnel on a mission that accidentally fell into a cave and discovered a bejeweled knife. The said magical artifact catapulted her into a realm where kingdoms, magic, wars and possibilities abound. Our female lead became a heroine in this world with not one or two but three leading men. Each one has his own pleasing physical attributes, talents and skills. Most of all, each one is of royal blood in various kingdoms.
The story is fraught with challenges but it effectively showcased the different facets of humanity. It will show you that every encounter we have with any people has a reason and a purpose, and always for the greater good. It is sometimes hard to imagine or understand the reasons why we have to experience things but in the end we will realize that it’s all for the common good.
There are also people in our lives that are supposed to be our closest and dearest and should therefore be allies but instead they are the banes of our existence. There are also those we thought are our nemesis but turned out to be our greatest support. Life indeed is complicated but really meaningful.
As for the cast, I was rooting for the 2nd male lead for his talent, mysticism and multiple sacrifices for our main female lead but of course as the character goes, the main male wins. However, I am not really impressed by him. As for the female lead, she is actually good and will certainly go places in time.
The rest of the cast members are not very familiar to me but they served their purpose.
The most important lesson of this series for me is to be steadfast in what you believe is right. Always do right with everyone and be your true self. No matter where you land, where life takes you, believe that it is where you are meant to be. Life might sometimes seem like an illusion but it is how you make it to be.
