I wonder if there's anyone who finished watching the storof Crown Prince of Heaven Ye Hua and Fox Empress Bai Qian, and did not shed a bucketful of tears. Such is the impact of this series that even after watching numerous wuxi/ fantasy series, I can still claim with confidence that this is the second best series (next to Nirvana in Fire) that was ever produced. Also, this is also the series that convinced me that Chinese fantasy dramas can be the best in the world.

This story showcases all kinds of relationships from master and disciple, bosom friends, enemies turned into friends, various family dynamics and three obviously destined loved connections. Should have been a complicated plot but each episode was seamlessly orchestrated to flow from start to finish without the viewers getting bored. In fact, I personally think 58 episodes is not long enough for this series. Aside from the main couple, there are side stories that will remind us all that love does not express itself in just one shape or form.

I have long noticed this in real life also, that when a man loves a woman, he would be willing to give up everything to have a life with her. No position nor riches can change that. No effort from other women can sway his conviction.

As for strong women, when we reach our limits, we choose to forget so we can still have a life. I think one of the biggest lessons we can get from this story is to be responsible for our own choices in life. While it is true that we can't choose in what circumstances we are born into, we always have a choice on how to live our lives. We have a choice on how to carry our responsibilities, on who to love and how we can make a difference in the world.

This story is aptly titled "Eternal Love" because their love story spanned across three lives and three worlds in thousands of years. The tribulations and challenges they have to go through to be together are those that only the Gods can endure. Their love is so strong though that not even death can keep them apart. An endearing plus is their love child who will entertain viewers no end with his innocence, vivacity and honesty.

It's truly overwhelming to try to share in a short review how beautiful this fantasy drama, which is also known in the title Ten Miles of Peach Blossomsis. You just have to take time to watch all 58 episodes in this series without skipping a single one. Promise you won't regret it. For if you have to watch just three dramas across the world in your lifetime, this Eternal Love should be one of them.
